Simplified Distributed Control Systems Using TReX Radios with PLC Option

Wireless Technologies have completed a significant new programmable logic automation feature for their TReX-PLC data radios that allows control and automation using standard ladder logic.  The TReX already had significant data, high power radio and messaging capability, but now with an inbuilt PLC, systems can be simplified and new distributed automation systems developed.  

Moving system components can be expensive and challenging to manage wirelessly.

Automation of a distributed control system with moving components, such as portable traffic lights, cable cars or heavy vehicles now becomes a simple task.  No wiring, fewer system components and the ability to centralise or distribute process decision making allows for a huge range of possibilities and cost savings.  The high power TReX radio links allows for remote inputs and outputs to be many kilometers away.  Ladder logic programs can be developed using PC software or directly on the WTE TReX radio.

Wired systems can be simplified and configured without a PC.

Moving components can be wirelessly controlled.

Simple automation and control with the least number of system components.

Using a single device, the TReX allows long range control and monitoring of simple distributed control systems.  Many technology types are support for alerting and control, whether smart phone, pagers, transmitters or digital mobile radios.
