New MT-RX-4 DSC, AIS and 406 Alerting Receiver Released
The team at WTE are pleased to announce the release of the new WTE MT-RX-4 Emergency Beacon Alerting Receiver.
The MT-RX-4 is the latest generation of WTE’s multi-band distress monitoring receivers and provides simultaneous monitoring of 406 MHz emergency beacons, AIS distress devices, DSC distress transmissions, and 121.5/243 MHz homing signals.
Designed for fixed monitoring applications, the MT-RX-4 provides Ethernet, USB and serial connectivity, together with a clear local display and audible alerting.

Key benefits of the product include:
- Simultaneous monitoring of 406 MHz, AIS, DSC and 121.5/243 MHz distress transmissions
- Decoding of 406 MHz EPIRBs, PLBs and ELTs across all currently used 406 MHz beacon channels
- Monitoring of both AIS channels at 161.975 MHz and 162.025 MHz
- Digital Selective Calling (DSC) distress message decoding on 156.525 MHz
- 121.5 MHz and 243 MHz homing signal monitoring
- Ethernet, USB, RS232 and RS485/RS422 connectivity
- Internal audible alerting and relay outputs
- Single- or dual-antenna configurations
- Improved high receiver sensitivity, now -123dBm for AIS and -122dBm for 406.
Designed for Emergency Beacon Monitoring
The MT-RX-4 has been developed for applications where early detection of an emergency beacon or distress transmission is important.
The MT-RX-4 can also be used for search and rescue monitoring, vessel safety systems, man-overboard alerting, and other applications requiring continuous monitoring of multiple maritime and aviation distress technologies.
